Senator Carmen Amato, Jr. is pleased to announce the opening of a new joint legislative office, located at 800 Atlantic City Boulevard, Suites 2 & 3, Bayville. Constituents can now reach the Bayville office directly at (732) 678-1355.

With the recent opening of the Manahawkin office, this new Bayville location will provide increased accessibility and convenience for residents, particularly those living in the northern portion of the district.

Amato issued the following statement:

“My priority is to be accessible and responsive to the needs of the people we represent. By opening this Bayville office, I am ensuring that constituents have another convenient location to seek assistance, share concerns, and stay informed about state matters.”

The Bayville office will offer the full range of constituent services, including assistance with state agencies, legislative inquiries, and information on state programs. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In a recent NJ Spotlight News article, Senator Carmen Amato emphasized that communities like Lacey Township are ready to welcome new energy solutions:

“Lacey officials are ready with open arms to facilitate, whether it’s the SMR, or gas power, or whatever we can do to get something there to help increase our generating capacity.”

One year ago, Senator Carmen Amato (R-9) proposed legislation to reinstate the annual back-to-school sales tax holiday, which was eliminated by Governor Murphy as part of last year’s state budget negotiations. Reports estimated that the repeal forced parents, teachers, and other back-to-school shoppers to pay roughly $35 million more in state taxes during the 2024 end-of-summer shopping season.

Senator Amato joined family and friends at Manchester Pines to celebrate the 100th birthday of Feliciana Bergamasco where he presented her with a State Resolution from the New Jersey Legislature recognizing her remarkable life, her many years of hard work and dedication, and the joy she has brought to generations of family and friends.

Recently, the New Jersey Department of the Treasury’s Division of Taxation began mailing ANCHOR property tax relief confirmation letters to about 1 million residents. The letters confirm eligibility and outline benefit details for this year’s program.

Most past recipients will have their applications filed automatically again. Taxpayers who need to update their address or bank account information, or who wish to receive a paper check, must submit a new application at anchor.nj.gov by September 15, 2025.

Payments will be issued on a rolling basis starting September 15. Most applicants will receive their benefits within 90 days of filing, unless additional information is needed. Residents can check their ANCHOR benefit status at nj.gov/treasury/taxation.
